Like all Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware it is recommended that you hand wash, but this french oven is dishwasher safe making clean up easy.
The Le Creuset Signature Series offers larger handle which allows for a firm grip, especially with oven mitts. Along with an upgraded lid knob, some colors come with a larger composite knob that withstands temperatures up to 480°F. Other colors come with a stainless steel knob that is heat-safe to any temperature. The sand-colored interior enamel also has a greater resistance to wear.
